Somewhat new to the forums here. Introducing my e30 officially. So I started off with an 87 325 (black). Was pretty clean. Didn't need too much work. Some dumbass in a chevy decided an illegal left turn while I was passing through a green light was a good idea. Totaled.
Onto the next project. Picked up an 84 325e 5speed (alpine white). Had a really really clean red leather interior, and mechanically it's pretty solid. But there's quite a bit of rust. Being as I don't make much money, and I have a full parts car....project Franken30.
As of now...
Ground control street level coilovers
Got my spare bottle caps on the rear right now because donuts are life haha jk
New csb (from the 87)
Rebuilt driveshaft (from the 87)
Crankshaft position sensor (took me a whole day to figure this one out ��
Rebuilt calipers with new pads/rotors (calipers from the 87)
PO swapped to hids w/ reflectors �� I'll be swapping to LED's with Eüro smileys
System cleaning chemicals (bg product. Good stuff, always good results. Used different solutions for intake/fuel/oil). Car runs like a damn dream now haha
Valve adjustment
Rebuilt instrument panel (fixed the speedo finally haha)
Next
Timing belt/water pump just to be safe. It feels loose
Ignition system i.e. Cap, rotor, plug wires, coil (car misfires ever so slightly and it's very annoying)
Need to swap my ac compressor from the 87. I like my air conditioning haha
Clear or smoked side markers/turn signals (haven't decided which yet)
New back bumper
Magnaflow catback
Ecu chip
Front and rear sway bars, bushings, control arms, and subframes (they're all rusted pretty good)
Z3 steering rack
Big plans for the car. I'll try to keep things updated as I go along but I always get lost in the project work haha. I'll add some pics ASAP. My phone isn't letting me right now ��
