    Plastidip - Replicating Diamondschwartz Metallic

So I'm considering this. I'd like to save up for a few years to get a proper $5-6k paint job for the m3, so it looks like I may be able to DIY a plastidip job for >$1k.
My question is, has anyone tried this replication? Searching yielded nothing, so I thought I'd start a thread...
For those of you that have experience with dipping, do you think that black, some metal flake added to the black, then a high gloss top coat would look pretty similar to diamondschwartz?
I'm extremely new to this, but have painted a bunch of stuff for my e30s, but never an entire car (I did vinyl wrap one though lol)
I'm interested to see your replies, or your flames, either is fine :)
    Project e30 m3 starts now..... :D

I believe GAbOS did one of his sets of wheels this way. You might PM him for info.

Unless you have family in the business, a "proper" paint job is going to run you more than $5-6k.

    While I'm here...

Gabos had some good info, but doesn't sound like he tried replicating diamondschwarz, however I think he's on to something with the metallic overlay. Bump for any more ideas?

I would join the dippers anonymous group on facebook and post a sample picture. There are many different approaches to the color, and many different products to use besides dip. And almost every vendor is doing a black Friday sale so this would be the time to buy

If you check out dipyourcar.com, they can color match a kit for you. I'm currently doing my e28 in delphin grey and they matched it for me. Feel free to borrow my sprayer. Save you 200 bucks.
