I totally thought this thread was a way to convert an M50 to non vanos.

Does have a ton more torque, that's for sure.

Perhaps with some cash from your end.

$1000 cash takes this away. I will start splitting it up if not sold by Monday.

DSSR already claimed, if I do part it out.

                  181 lb-ft is a "ton" more than 163?? Lol

If your credit card went up 12% I think you would call that a ton. 12% more torque is very noticeable, not to mention how much more efficient and reliable the 24v motors are if done properly

"If done properly" nobody would bother swapping one boat anchor for another. An M50 swap is the most pointless waste of time and money if you' re after power- especially a NV. The only way this makes sense is if you have a wrecked e36/e34 and an e30 with a blown motor in the driveway and need to combine them into one running vehicle. End of story !

The m50nv is quite a bit different from an m20b25, it may not have much more power on paper, but papers not everything, the power is delivered much differently, it's a much more solid feel, the problem I have with any 24v swap is how low the oil pan hangs, the way the power is delivered is much better.
