    RX7 caliper mounting brackets dimensions?

It seems the guy making the e30 -> RX7 caliper adaptors has gone away.

Every link I've found to the old threads about the brackets seems to be dead or broken.

That said, does anyone have the exact dimensions of the brackets? Such that I can make my own?

Also, the other parts I'll need are:
    -Corrado rotors
    -RX7 FC (84-91 GXL/Turbo/Vert) calipers

I'm assuming the stock e30 brake lines won't thread into the RX7 calipers. What are my options here?

    Thanks all!

I made this when I was doing my own RX7 brake upgrade. The e30tech thread I used as a guide is now defunct :/

I started with a 1" x 1/2" flat bar stock you can get from Home Depot, etc. I powdercoated mine for corrosion resistance.

You can tap those threads to whatever pitch you want since the holes on the strut and the holes on the RX7 caliper are not threaded.

I cut up my dust shields. You'll have to remove some at the mounting point due to interference. You can see what I mean here:

You need to bore out the Corrado rotors to 66.1mm to fit the e30 hub.

You cannot use the stock brake lines **UNLESS** you use an adapter.

This is the one I purchased.

I believe the backing plates need to be trimmed as well.

edit: looks like someone else also mentioned it, though I dont think you need to go as crazy as they did

You're right. I had to cut mine quite a lot to fit around the rx7 calipers before I ended up making some custom ones.

The rotor sits super close to the tie rod ball joint when mounted. I don't think the stock backing plate would have fit there anyway.

The Corrado rotor hat isn't as thick as the e30 rotor hat, so you'll have some of the wheel hub poking out about 1 mm. I am running spacers so I had them machined to clear that lip.

Here's a copy of the original thread that used to be on e30tech.

I suggest removing the backing plates for better heat dissipation.
Brake harder. Go faster. No shit.
