    trade e34 for M52 e30?

Whatsup guys, so today I checked out a buddies 91 318 that's M52 swapped. Considering trading it for my 95 530i 5 speed. My e34 is clean title, flawless paint and body is solid only a couple tiny dings, perfect interior everything works on my e34 and it only has 147k miles, arktisgrau on grey interior. Car has an intake and muffler and resonator delete, everything else is stock. The e30 has a salvage title, 177k on the body and claimed 120k on the M52, black on tan. Needs new paint all around, the plastic on the front bumper is cracked missing lip and has a good amount of big dings here and their and some small amount of rust on the trunk. Interior is very clean with sport seats no rips but small wear, cracked dash like every other e30. Car pulls strong but I'd need to smog (California too.) Do you guys think I should take a shot and trade my e34 for it? The e30 is on bay area cragislist if anyone wants to get a good look at it.

sounds like you're thinking of trading a decent normal car for a pretty trashy e30. an M52 is going to be pretty rough to BAR, as well, unless you get lucky and they don't pull your block numbers or it's somehow properly OBD2 converted.

This. I'd just keep the e34.

I'm not into any BMWs at all aside from the little old ones and even I'd keep the E34 in that circumstance. The E30 sounds like a beater, plus you have to deal with CARB, you'd have to be nutty.

OP are you missing half your brain? Trading a flawless 530i for a salvage title e30?? Trade your e34 to someone who will appreciate it...
