Hey guys,
Some of you may have seen my M3 restoration (link in sig) and the bonkers attention to detail it has taken on. The latest of such details is to recreate a new version of the tired old BMW Quality Assurance stickers that came on the car (mine still has them) that were placed on the vehicle at the Vehicle Preparation Center (VPC) in Houston.
I'm frankly amazed the car still had them on, even if they had been cooked by the California sun for 25 years and lost original color.
So that's where this thread comes in. Have any of you guys seen these stickers before? Anyone by chance have a picture of one in better shape?
I'm trying to ascertain:
1) The original colors and
2) What the background in the center looked like. It almost looks like some kind of thumbprint in mine. Not sure if it was originally textured, clear, or other.
Here are my photos to help.
Thanks!
