    No crank

    Hi all,

My car was sitting in garage for the last 2 months. Today when I try to turn it there is no crank. The battery has lower, but I did not hear any noise from starter. I would like to know how should I check it. I plan to check the fuel relay (just in case) . What else should I check too? Thanks for ur advise.

    Buy an inexpensive voltmeter.
    Meter the battery.
Then charge the battery, at least overnight.
    Then meter the battery again,
    and again, while cranking.

After sitting for weeks, you can see as low as 12.6 volts on a 'charged' battery.
After charging, you should see 13.5 or so.
    Running, 14.3 is good.

Battery is weak. It won't have enough juice to kick start the starter.

        Thanks!

Yes, I was naive to believe that my battery is in good health when in fact it has only 12.1 volt. Thanks.
