No luck with fixing it :(

    Hello guys,

i have a problem with my M50B25nv swap.

the car is idling pretty rough, and the RPM stays up at 2500 RPMs even when you're cruising in neutral and wont go down till you to a full stop then it'll go down slowly, in addition to high fuel consumption.

OBD scan only showed a faulty Crank Positioning/Pulse generator/sensor (016) , i changed that with a working one and it still throws that fault, changed the Crankshaft pulley and still throws that fault out when OBD scanning

So i guess i should start tracking the wiring, what wires should i look for ?, and how should i test them ? it's an " E36 1991 M50B25 NON Vanos engine"

Could it also be a Camshaft positioning sensor even if the OBD scanner is not throwing that fault ?

Another Question, For my 1991 engine, what's the DME i should be running ?
mine came With a 405 bosch green label but it idles and hesitates roughly with it, i tested a 403 green label with no luck, the last one was a 402 Red label and the engine hesitation settled down a little bit, so whats the ECU that i should be using ?

    Thanks : )

Make sure your throttle cable isn't too tight and not letting the car idle.
Odd things happen, even a floor mat pushing on the throttle...
