    Coilover help!

So I'm about to purchase bc coilovers for my 1985 325e and there's an option for 45mm or 51mm shock tube size. I'm stuck and do not know what size to get. Any suggestions??

I believe the 51mm are for Verts, I could be wrong but during my reasearch, this is what I found so I got the 51's for my 92 vert.

I have yet to see a 325e with 45mm. I have only seen m10 318i with 45mm. I would double check just in case the previous owners swap it out.

Have a look and measure yours. fairly sure though that 6 cylinder cars came with 51mm struts and everything else bar the 318is had 45mm.

again don't take my word, go and measure

51mm is for 6 cyl and verts. If you are curious about the sizing, a US dollar is about 51-53mm. So wrap the dollar around, if its a close fit its 51mm. If its large its the 45.
