Asking for donations for running a Facebook page?

Isn't there some rule on Facebook about this? I'm on a few Corvair pages that is ran by one guy. He been asking for donations and if you sell something to donate part of what you made. It's all up to you if you do, but I'm thinking this is against some Facebook policy. His excuse is that he spends so much time on them that it takes away from his personal life of making any money. But it is Facebook and it is a FREE fucking page to run. It's your own fault you spend to mich time on it.

    Questioning and part rant over..

I'm on a Boat group "Boat owners united", guy sells stickers representing the group for $5.

Much better way to go about it.

Well you win the internet for the day.

As for the FB page, didn't e36 world have a similar problem? The Admin wanted people promoted products on the page to pay. I'm not sure what ever happened to it, but I'm pretty sure its against Facebook's policy.

99% sure it's against Facebook's terms of service. I can't imagine Facebook would be ok with you pulling in money for using their platform without them getting a slice of the pie.

Most of the people on there must not be falling for his plea for money. He archived the group and posted this message. But since unachieved it.

The group has 5.5K members with 2 admins and 4 mods. He has a couple other groups, Corvair trader, Corvair racers, and a V8 Corvair group too. I do remember help running the R3V Facebook and it being a headache with the "kids" being morons. But the Corvair pages are mostly older guys who can't even navigate the internet lol, or just laid back and chilled.

He needs to be reported to facebook. That 100% against terms of service and illegal. There was a guy on the e36 page that did the same thing if you were a vendor you had to pay to post and thing you sold on there he wanted a cut. Needless to say it didn't last long cause other page admins found out and booted him. Before you ask why was i on an e36 page. 1 for the many LOLz that come from there and 2 so i can list fabrics
