Wanted in BHam: Teach me M10 ignition tuning for $

Home stretch in getting my 318 back on the road. Motor fires up (finally) after installing new head + gaskets, water pump, injectors, hoses, plugs, etc. I need guidance to dial in ignition timing. I have a Bentley manual and a timing light but I need some expert help. I can pay. Can you help? You don't want to see me fork over cash to a shop, do you?

i want 5$ for all the advice and pics i sent you lol

and 2.50$ for my cell # i gave you lol.

its somewhat easy to time it.

that vacume diaphram needs to point to driver side. and you get a screwdriver and tap that notch, while someone watches light.

i know some r3v peeps live up there

    Please leave feedback below, thanks

Or just do it how we used to do V-8's back in the day:

      -disable vacuum advance
-advance it until it starts to stumble, then back it off a couple degrees.

Works 90% of the time, all the time.

Thanks for chiming in - I'll report back what I find out after trying this, and digesting all the info in the link that Matt-B shared.
