WTB: E30 325is or 318is Alpine white coupe in Southern California

Hey folks, been searching for a long time (7 months) for an Alpine White E30 coupe in very clean condition. I prefer the 318is, but I'm okay with the 325is as well.

- Alpine white
- Manual transmission only
- No rust
- No accident history, clean title only
- Needs to be able to pass smog (legally).
- No check engine light or major mechanical issues
- Budget is $10,000 for purchase and build.

He had a white e30 318is when he first started working and had to sell it when I was born. I wanted to do something nice for him since he's retiring soon and will have some free time now. He's sacrificed a lot for my siblings and I for the past 25 years. My mom actually told me about him selling the e30 several years ago. It was his first big purchase when he saved enough for a decent down payment, but had to sell it when they found out they were having an unexpected third child (me). His car after that was an old toyota van that he drove for the subsequent 15ish years. That thing was a tin can and so dangerous. Then he bought a base tacoma thereafter and has been driving that old thing for the past 13 years. He drives far for work as well and that truck is hitting close to 500,000 miles now. He's finally retiring soon and will get to re-experience some of his youth!

that is such a great move on your part. I hope you find the perfect 318IS for you father. I personally had to sell my 84 grey market when my daughter was born to fund our move to a new house. Ill keep my eye open for something since i check cl everyday, multiple times a day. good luck man.

I actually met up with Andrew over the weekend. Great, awesome guy. Very polite, courteous, and accommodating. I took a flight up to SF specifically to take a look at it. It's a fantastic car! Just not exactly what I'm looking for. Thanks for the heads up, though!
