I just purchased this car to use as a daily for a while before using the car as an E30 swap donor. After much consideration, I decided that I don't have enough time on my hands for another project.
The car has 257K and has been maintained well throughout it's life. No vanos rattle or any top end noise, block is clean and quiet. Starts right up and I wouldn't hesitate to drive it anywhere. Only oil leak is a drip from the drain plug.
COLD AC and all accessories work as they should. No CEL. New radiator/fan stuffs, and hoses.
The central locking system even still works! Nearly complete tool kit.
The 5sp grinds in second gear, you could fix it or grab a used trans for $200 (my initial plan). Can easily be shifted from 1st to 3rd (what I've been doing).
The body has dents, the major damage is the drivers door. Opens/closes/seals fine but E36 doors are in yards everywhere and are cheap/easy to find. No damage to back door or fender, so a door swap would clean the whole car up. Some minor rust, but the car is very structurally sound and straight.
The front suspension is very tight/clean. The rear suspension could use trailing arm bushings, but you could also very easily drive it as is, just with a clunk under acceleration.
Interior is very meh.
Looking for $1300 out of it. If you're using it for a swap donor, it's got everything you need as far as motor, trans linkage/mounts/driveshaft, engine harness, etc. Would make the swap into an E30 a breeze. I also have E34 pan/pickup tube/dipstick I can sell for the right price.
