I bought this car in 2014 in Grand Rapids, MI at this point the car was almost a barn find. The seller had parked the car in a garage for the past 7 years and had decided to sell it. The car was in drivable, but rough condition. Over the past few years a lot of time and money have been spent into restoring it to perform as an e30 should. The following is a short list of good qualities of the car and items that have been fixed. The car will come with 2 original keys, 2 e46 style key blanks that control the power lock and unlock system.
• 2.5L inline 6 with a 5-speed manual transmission
• Clean title, in hand
• Crack free dash
• Rust free
• Working Odometer
• The suspension was replaced with OEM parts and H&R Race Springs paired with Bilstein Shocks and Struts.
• New brake pads, rotors, and lines
• The power steering reservoir and lines have been replaced
• The intake manifold has been air blasted and painted
• The coolant lines have been replaced and the system has been flushed.
• Coolant have been recently replaced in the last 200 miles
• Oil and Oil filter has been replaced in the last 200 miles.
• Transmission fluid has been replaced in the last 1000 miles
• The interior has been completely replaced with used but newer interior.
• The seats have been reupholstered in vinyl.
• New tires and Abraham motors “Alpina” style wheels
• Original bottlecap wheels with tires that should be replaced
• Mtech 1 steering wheel in fair condition will come with original steering wheel as well.
• Comes with an extra set of interior panels, these could be reupholstered.
• Rare Racing Dynamics front Valence
• Convertible top in good condition
Needs:
• Exhaust is the next item that should be replaced, it is rusted out. It sounds nice, but would be the next thing on my list.
• The antenna needs to be replaced and the car could use a new radio head unit
• A/C compressor and accessible lines have been removed to be rebuilt or replaced. I will include the compressor with the sale. I was preparing the system to be converted to R-134a from R12.
• The front bumper has some damage on the passenger side, this could be a good opportunity for a Euro bumper swap.
• The headlights are functional, but the glass is cracked. -$250
• The driver’s side kick panel should be replaced -$150
• The third rear brake light should be replaced - $150
• The ABS light is on, I believe it would go off if the driver’s side ABS sensor is replaced
• The paint is in good condition, but new paint would turn this car into an absolute beauty.
While this list may not be exhaustive, the car runs very well as is and no items in the list need to be addressed immediately. Rather, this list is a great place to start for projects to improve the quality of this car. I know the value of the parts and time that has been put into this car, that being said I am open to negotiate. Please, no low ball offers.
