    Nitrous

Does anyone know anyone who has nitrous on a M20? Cant say that I hear BMW and nitrous in the same sentence very often.

They're Suzuki GSXR-600 throttle bodies. I cut the flange off my stock "i" manifold and welded up the rest.

How is it messed up? It will work just fine. Its not the first time ive done it...just the first time on a BMW. Throttle response with ITB's is just silly :D

Starters its a custom mod and I havent heard of anyone making something like that. Yeah I seen in BMP multi throttle systems and they go for like 2000-3000 dollars.

You need to make a video of those on your car and opening and closing and some more pictures of that head actually in the car.

Unfortunately any pictures I had of the other set I did for a friends B18 Honda motor were wiped out when I had to reformat my harddrive. The car was sold to a kid then promptly wrecked

There doesnt seem to be a ton of "affordable" mods for the M20 so I figured id give these a shot. 2k-3k for ITB's is simply retarded in my opinion.

Yes they are held onto the aluminum stubs by short silicone couplers. When theyre clamped down they wont go anywhere. The TB's are aluminum and extremly light. The entire setup weighs probably half of what the stock manifold did.

The car should be up and running in about 2-3 weeks....it better be because I plan on taking it to Englishtown Raceway in NJ on April 30/May 1 weekend for the Sport compact spring nationals to have some fun. I really dont wanna take my Honda :x Whether or not I will be spraying the motor that weekend is still up in the air. It all depends on how steep of a learning curve tuning the Megasquirt ecu is going to be. I dont want to add nitrous to the equation untill I have it running 100% n/a.

Ive still got a decent amout of work to do for the 30th...namely make the wiring harness for the Megasquirt, mount and plumb my Wilwood master cylinder to get rid of the brake booster, make a throttle cable, and fab some long tube headers.

Ill be sure to make a more detailed post in the engine section once its all shaken out. Ill get some video as well :P
