Drive it. Love it. Drive it. Love it. Go to an open auto-x event, drive it. Do a few suspension mods, drive it. Love it. Fix it. Drive it. Wash it. Repeat.

trust me if you ever run into a person that actually mods his engine and does any significant work to the engine good luck. Most of thsoe Honda's and crap are just POS's with body kits and exhaust and thats it. I've seen some fast fucking honda's that looked stock from the outside but haul balls. It will take alot for your car to keep up with them unless you go turbo or m5x/s5x

Don't everyone just run this guy out of town. Maybe we should try being helpful for a change.

Congrats on getting an E30. Its a rewarding car to drive and learning how to maintain it and modify it will help you better appreciate German engineering.

Don't expect to whoop V-Tec ass with it....instead enjoy the fact that you can kick the back out by using the throttle and not the e-brake :D

Well even with the eta bottome end 323i head combo or the supereta bottom end 325i combo you won't be making more then like 180 hp without major headwork and more mods. Honda's are generally pretty light and if the person actually wants to mod his engine then it can easily be over 200 hp especially if its a DOHC v-tech engine.

Basically you have a few options if your goal is to beat most of anything out there Honda wise

!. Swap in either US or Euro s50 or s52 engines
                        2. Turbo the m20
                        3. m30 swap with or without turbo
                        4. Go balls out NA m20 with loads of money and maybe get 240 hp at the crank max (better off doign nay of the above for the cost)
                        5. Put in a small block chevy, sr20det, or other engine.

i understand but i tryin to stay away from the swapping game thats kinda why i left the honda game..... i want to stay with the original motor but put a little work in it... keep in mind im only 17

I was just adding in waht other things have been done to get the e30 to be a fast car....I personally would not do any of those either. It sounds like the best bet for you is to go turbocharged.
