Ok, getting extentions in to these bolts on an auto is easy enough, but now that i have the manual trans in, i can't see anyway to get them in there. I hand tightened the bolts, but is it just a matter of jacking/loweing the trans/engine etc, or is there some trick to it? I can't just leave them hand tightened.

Hey BS87...
jacking up the front of the engine will give you the room you'll need.
Dont jack it up too high, just enough so you can install the top bolts.
also make sure use a pad to protect the oil pan, check the pic
good luckMarvin

There is a little stopper pad that is designed to keep the tranny from lowering too much. I had to unbolt that thing, to give myself an extra inch to work with. Good luck.

That is the motors chasity belt. It keeps people from working on it by dropping in thier eyes by finding a way to get into goggles(not to mention every orafice in the human body).
When i blew an oil line, thats what my engine looked like.. just after it had been removed and completely cleaned. What a frustrating experience.
