right well my grandfather got an email back from the guy he got the engine from (a close friend of his) turns out its been stroked to 2954cc has a schrick cam in it (ill get the numbers tommorow along with a pic under the valve cover) some kind of light weight pistons a late m3 crank and a piston ring setup that apparently uses some oil on purpose. anyone know about that?

m20->m20 swap, unplug, plug-in. What else would you like to know?

Congrats on graduating, and congrats on the 3.0L stroker ;) You'll love it! And yes it is just as simple as unplugging and plugging everything back in.......except perhaps the wiring harness, as you need to match up the engine harness to your ECU....ie, same Motronic.

EDIT: and if you have an old clutch, you might want to get a new stock 325i one ;)

I helped your grandfather load it in his F-150.

Your cabby will haul ass, but you need to get a 4.11 rear end to take full advantage of that motor, IMO.

Almost identical to my old motor (albeit slightly higher compression), and mine made 186rwhp and 192rwtrq (w/ stock AFM and engine management, btw). So with a similar setup to Jordan's (HFM and Unichip) I wouldn't put 200rwhp past this car. Have fun and be careful in the wet!!
