    Another injector question.

Well the 2.8l stroker is in, runs pretty strong but it ran way to rich and like shit with the 19# injectors in. We put the stockers back in and it ran
much, much better. Couple questions. For one, with the stock injectors
in, do I run a great risk of leaning out(daily driver)? Also, why is it that
the 19# injectors seemed to be too much when others run these in stock
    m20's with success?

    Thanks

Not if you never floor it. Otherwise, if they are worn or slightly clogged, yes.

    A couple of possible reasons.

    1) Did you drive it around a bit to let the ecu adapt? If not....

    2) Did you get "Ford Mustang" injectors? Ford has used many different injectors and called them 19 lb. The specs on most of them are hard to find. Some years used 2.5 bar of fuel pressure and some used 3 bar. So if you put 19 lb injectors used on a 2.5 bar Mustang into a 325i with a 3 bar fpr, you're getting a lot more than 19 lbs.

I drove the car with the 19# injectors for about less than 5 miles, basically around the block, car was stalling out, black smoke etc... as for the injectors, they are from IE, btw I do occasionally get on it so...

I dunno, I've had 19# injectors in my stock motor for almost 2 years and it runs fine. I usually take it out and drive the @#$&* out of it after resetting the ECU and that takes care of the inital shittyness.

I guess I'll try putting them back in and drive it hard for a bit, see what happens, thanks.

Mine hardly ran rich at all when I put them in. OTOH I'm not sure my fuel system is putting out 3 bar like it should. I assume you're disconnecting your battery (you should when mucking with the fuel system) so your ecu should be getting re-set.

The old wisdom was to get an adjustable fpr, or use a 2.5 bar fpr from an eta if you can get it to fit, so that the ecu doesn't have to make a big adjustment. Then after it adapts, switch back to the 3 bar fpr.

JC software. I looked up the IE injectors I have on fiveomotorsports.com, they are bosch m30 injectors rated at 20.4# or so IICRC.
I ended up borrowing and installing a set of mustang 19#ers after work today, drove the car pretty hard on the way home. I have to say it pulls
much much stronger now ;) Now I just need to sort out some kind of
                engine management.

It could just be running stupid rich because of the chip, I believe Jordan's car had the same problem post-stroking.

In any case, get it on a dyno and do some tuning.

Car will be dyno'd soon, prolly after the headers/exhaust are installed. Ida automotive/perfect power will burn a custom chip.
