    Auto to 5spd

What are you looking at to convert a 325i to standard? Like, what parts would you need, and about how long would you spend at it? And on what difficulty level is it? I'm sure i could've read the below post, but i'm on 56k, and I dont want to be here for a few days.

    Thanks

Don't be lazy. Just read the damn thread. It's highly detailed with pictures along the way for almost every step.

Depends on your level of skill, the tools you have available, and how fast you can break some of those fuckin bolts loose. I've spent atleast 2-3 hours trying to get the damn drive shaft off because the bolts that hold it to the rear dif were seized even after soaking them in PB Blaster.

We also tried getting to the upper torx bolts that hold the transmission bell housing to the engine off and those are a motherfucker as well.

Air tools speed things up tremendously but only if the nut or bolt is in a place your air tools can reach.

Parts only cost as must as you're willing to search. Got everything I needed for the tranny swap including the tranny except for a new clutch kit for $150 from an import junk yard. So far I've spent $450 for everything including some extra tools I needed to buy.

Take your sweet time if you are new to this kinda stuff.. me and my friends have been spending our Saturdays and/or Sundays taking things one step at a time. If you've never done anything like this and you try to rush through it chances are you'll fuck something up and more than likely it will hit your wallet as well.
