    2.9lt powa (Exhaust vid inside)

Hehe... this is what 2.9lt power sounds like :D

    Some of the spec's...

    M52B28 crank, M20B25 rods, S50B30Euro pistons. CR 11.1:1

Stock Valves, Gasflowed and Ported, 288 Schrick.

    8lbs Ally Flywheel.

Need 2 take it 2 be tuned and chipped, with a SMT 7 , and a MAP sensor.

    Entire motor is Balanced.

Also all the usual stuff, like headers Dual 57mm exhaust, Ported Intake, Big TB...

    Future mods on the motor:

New head, with Big Valves, New pistons cause of clearance with the valves.
High Rev rockers, and valvesprings and retainers... Massive porting of the head... All this is aimed for making the head flow better at High RPM, see if I can get the motor 2 make decent power past 6400rpm... try get it making power till around 7000rpm... see if it can be done a 12v . Custom Plenium.

is that 161kw at the wheels or crank?

what kind of pistons are you going to get?

I kinda wish I had used the 84mm crank, but then I would have had to buy new rods as well. oh well, I'm pretty happy with my crappy e crank as is ;)

      On the wheels...

I'm gonna use forged pistons... Not sure what make yet, most probably some Custom Arias ones. Also wanna bump the CR to around 11.5:1 ... think thats about as high as I want 2 go on a street motor.

What rods did u use ?

That 161kw is B4 I spun bearings... though. So dunno what it will make now, but should be around the same.

S50US. in total with the forged pistons it's about 3lbs less rotational mass than the stock M20B25. :)

I would love to have 200whp, but nobody in the states seems to get there, jordan was closest with 197!

oh yeah for an easy conversion, google works for pretty much everything (and you can even do it from your cell phone):

What length r those rods ?

Just for interest sake, was at the racing last night... ran a Audi A4 2.0lt Turbo over about a Mile (roughly 1.6km) put about 1 car length on him... was impressed. This is still untuned.

Also raced my friends 2.8lt , but spanked him...

I would of thought that you would spank the audi...........161rwkw (210 crank kw) is what a Euro 3.0L M3's make on the dynos over here.

Well, the car isn't tuned at all... so yeah, when done It should... it's running really rich ATM, guess it's better than lean.

the rods are 135mm, same as the M20B25

that's pretty quick.. what rear differential are you using? my car isn't tuned yet either, still using stock motronic with a bavauto chip designed for a stock motor, and a completely stock induction system from the airbox to the intake manifold. it's still a blast though, it's a bit wierd feeling the rear wheels break loose a little bit in a straight line on dry pavement in an AWD car. :D

                              Haha, cool man :)

Aren't the big ends on the S50 cranks bigger than a normal BMW crank ? Unless the US motor is different... I know that the Small end bushes are smaller, cause the gudeon pin on the Motorsport pistons is smaller than a normal BMW crank.

Currently got a 3.92 open diff in the car... but got a 3.64 LSD lying at home... will go on when I do the short shifter, and the new springs and shocks.

Dunno, why our cars seem 2 make more power than u guys... it's weird.

Another thing... a guy I know is busy building a 2.8lt stroker, with ITB's and everything u can think of... he wants 300hp on the wheels... N/A so it will be seen if it can be done.

Then he is chopping the roof off and putting a CF one onto the car... he wants 2 get it to about 900kg... Granted it's a track car, but still insane.

Then when money isn't an option... great things can be done... His everyday car is a M3 CSL.

                              Digger, stock it made 89wkw
