NW toy run 2006 (charity event)

origonally posted by bmwgirl on BMWCCA puget sound forum.

    SAVE THE DATE!!

NW TOY RUN 2006 to benefit Toys for Tots

    December 9, 2006
    Time: 12 Noon
Place: 272nd park and ride. Exit 147 off I-5
    Bring: Unopened Toy(s)

Well, December is usually a slow time for the car community so lets get together and help our community at the same time!! This is a multi-club event. Last year there were over 100 cars and there has been press in the past.

    Here are the details:

Saturday, Dec 9 at 12 Noon we will meet up at 272nd Park and Ride in Federal Way, exit 147. We will drive down as a group to the Olympia Izzys and drop off the toys and have some lunch.

This is going to be a big one, so lets get everybody out there. This is for the children that are less fortunate. Bring what you can, even a hot wheel or a stuffed animal; just an unopened toy. This will be an open forum event, so feel free to post up on other forums.

LETS HELP SOME KIDS HAVE A GREAT CHRISTMAS! I hope to see everyone out there.

A website will be up soon at www.nwtoyrun.org. Currently you can find pictures there of previous years events.

I'd encourage people to also consider this: http://www.childsplaycharity.org/

Its run by the guys over at Penny-Arcade, last year they raised $605,000 in gifts for sick children in hospitals around the country. It's a realy good cause and you are guarantee'd that 100% of it is put to good use for dying/sick/unfortunate children in the hospitals.
