Looks like a waste of money. The M School is the best offering from BMW and it looks like it's made to give the rich people who bought M's and have never even used the throttle a chance to open it up legally and safely to learn some basics. For anyone who has done a single track day or even a single auto-x I bet it would be boring. Give me Skip Barber schooling, so I can actually learn something for all that $$$.
But if I got the chance, for free, hell yes I would rip around in a few M's on a racetrack with no worries of getting caught! -

Looks like a blast, but I agree, very pricey considering one could get an e30 safely on the track for less than that amount. An e30 sure isn't an m5 or z4m however...
Dunno why the guy stressed about not knowing how to drive a stick, thats probably the best way to learn how to do it right.

Yeah guys... what a total rip-off. Not having the wear and tear on your car, not having to worry about writing off a car you couldn't afford to, not buying replacement/urethane parts and better brake pads nor having to install them, not having to deal with the risk of a car breaking down and your day is done, not having to possibly tow a car home at the end, not worrying about having a bad/lazy instructor, not having to go through the ordeal of buying a 2nd car and insure it...

That doesn't even make sence. Skip Barber, along with lots of other popular driving schools, have better training programs, for less money. BMW's program over-charges and under-delivers. This is of course judged by the program description on BMW's website and the write-ups people have done.
The only thing people had to brag about was being in the presence of $100,000 cars and having fun learning the car's limits. This is stuff I've done without paying thousands of dollars, but by simply going to an auto-x or two, and a track day will do even more for you (for 1/10th the price). If your really set on learning and don't want to risk your own car, there's good instructors available at other schools, which cost less, and teach you more useful skills for performance driving and/or racing.Comment

I did the New Drivers school several years ago, and my dad did the 1 day CCA/M-School...Seriously good operation with a incredible group of instructors.
