M42: Car Bogs between 3-4K RPM

So my car bogs between 3-4 RPM. Just as I'm about to shift. It idles fine and runs fine at speed, but only when i accelerate and about to change gears does it bog. Any help would be appreciate.

These motors are finicky about spark plugs . I would install some NGK BKR6EK .
That helped mine when it had symptoms like yours. Could be AFM also but I would start with some plugs.

That AND, get yourself some new wires.

I had this same exact issue sometime ago and it turned out to be plugs and wires!

I had the same issue's and finally saw the problem one night in the dark w/ the hood open. I could actually SEE the spark travel through the wires. Another item that should be replace while your in that area is the valve cover gasket's. When I changed my plugs I found some oil the around the top of the plug.
