    I Got Head!

    420.00USD later...

For those who are not aware, i have been having real bad luck with the m10 heads. i went through 3 of them and finally one that isnt CRACKED!! now i can continue with my proj...I am removing the old Jetronic ECU and installing megasquirt with edis. Im now in the process of just putting everything back on. Any tips on tuning? i know its better to start from scratch...

    Head Mods:
    Beadblasted chambers, valves, ports
    Heat tanked
    Milled .007"
    New Seals
IE DUAL VALVE SPRINGS w/modded stock retainers and seats
    Schrick 292 CAM

    Stock bottom end

    Stock 5spd Tranny w/325i clutch

    EMS: Megasquirt V2.2 w/EDIS

After some tunage i may go FI

    Megasquirt stuff:

wat you think about the gauge location? (no im not ricey) my dash is cracked so i dont really care about messing it up though i may cover it after everything is done...

    M10 FTW!!
    more pics as i progress

hahahah i didnt even think about the blue wire wrap...it came with the megasquirt...forgot you can color coordinate the engine bay

initially i was gonna mod the cluster and make the tach fit, i also have chrome rings to go in the cluster...i bought things without thinking about it

YOU GOT HEAD! Oh I am so jelous! That stands the reason why you don't let your buddies meet your girlfriend until she gives YOU head first.

Maybe I am too much of an E30 purist, however, I think that gagues do not belong on top of the dash. I would be accepting of it on a 70's muscle car but not on an E30.

Point taken, im some what of a purist i do need these gauges and id rather have them so i could see em easily opposed to having them low on the center console...what do you all suggest? though i dont think they look THAT bad, but i just thought as this as a temporary solution

                  updates:

i Shaved a lil too much on the timing marker...o well

Ok so far i refitted the all the timing shit with new chains, tensioners, chain guides, put the crank pulley on, refitted the oil pan with new gaskets and all

                  Still needs to be done:

                  -Mount the head
                  -Mount the manifolds
                  -Mount the modified TPS
                  -Mount the AFPR
                  -Mount the MS
                  -REWIRE :curse: :puppy:

Thanks to good and tight, i now can use edis!! he made me the VR bracket and modified the crank pulley

Im working on this thing the whole day and ill check back in with updates on the next break i take

I could live with the tach, I don't like it personally, but i could live with it, but the three in the middle, please mount them somewhere else. ;)

i started to clean all the crude off, should i pressure wash?

well, im almost done, 75% of the way finished...and im working through the night some...

as you can see i already taped the coolant line for the gm coolant sensor.

                        Still needs to be done:

                        -Mount the manifolds
                        -Mount the modified TPS
                        -Mount the AFPR
                        -Mount the MS
                        -REWIRE

i have a feeling wiring this crap up is gonna kill me... :puppy:

goal for the rest of the night is to put on the exhaust manifold w/wideband o2 sensor. put the intake manifold on with the modified tps and modified afpr...think i can do it ;)

damn no love for the gauge pod what you think about it being mounted to the ceiling???

but seriously, where else could it go...im bouts to just tape the gauges to the dash
                        ?

                            Update 3

                            so so tired...

ok so ive modded/mounted the variable TPS, mounted the exhaust manifold w/wide band o2 sensor...still needs more work

                            also i have a 325i tb

                            Still needs to be done:

                            -waiting for 24lbs injectors
                            -Mount the Intake Manifold
                            -Mount the AFPR
                            -Mount the MS
                            -REWIRE

work in progress...but im making good progress. I have to recustomize the throttle linkage bc the old one was a lil small. let see how much i get done tomorrow ;)

I'd put the tach on the steering column. I had one there for a week when my tach died on me. But then the factory tach started to work again so i took the aftermarket one off.
