Elipsoid compatability? some help PLEASE

WELL. ther are many nice things coming to this e30 in the near future, but first, a question.




I have these headlights (they are eurospec hellas)
I have sourced a mint pair of smileys for $180AU (just the low beam.)

I assume they will just screw straight into the original fittings? (im quite comfortable with wiring them)

Also, what is the difference (if any) between my highbeams and the high's that came with the smileys? is it worth upgrading, and for how much?


Btw its an 85 euro 323i

if you mean bolting the entire headlight assembly into the front of your car, yeah, any E30 headlights are compatible...

if you mean bolt into the fixtures (the round rings holding the actual lamps) I don't think you can. Eg, you can't put a projector ellipsoid lamp into a sealed beam housing.

damn i was hoping i could keep my high beams and just swap the low beams for smileys...

guess ill have to do a full conversion then hey...
(at least wen my wallet permits that is)
