Widest tire i can put on my 14 basket weaves rims???

    whatever floats your boat. that much mush puts too much snap in the steering in my opinion. I know its not what you want... cost reasons or whatever, if you want some wider tires, accompany them with some wider wheels, as i'm sure the tires were made for. merely my opinion.

        I track my car on 195/60/14 azenis, both in wet and dry conditions. You know, "where traction matters", I've never had a problem, they grip well and provide very predictable handling.

        If you're sliding off the road in street conditions, that's due to driver stupidity, not something that the car or tires is doing.

          205/60 is more than ample for any car that doesnt have a turbo/supercharger/or 24 valve swap.

          It also all depends what brand tires you buy. For example Go buy some 225's from PepBoys and I'll buy 205 Yoko's and I'll still out handle you. its a virtue of tread compound

            UNHCLL, u got a point, i did have some cheapo 195 60's maybe whats why i dont like them. for now ill stick with 215.

              Odd, I was at an auto-x yesterday ourunning Mini's and track-spec E30's that were on R-compounds with my 196/60/14 Azenis. I think you just need to learn how to drive.
