Yup - very easy. Those front tow hooks make convenient grabbing locations.

Now, I wouldn't recommend this method for every motor swap, but in my case since I'm completely stripping the car, it made sense. Once all the wiring and hoses were disconnected, and exhaust off, a total of 17 bolts/nuts needed to be removed to do this. Knock that # down to 7 if the suspension is off already.
It certainly makes it easier to get to all the trans and Guibo bolts with it out of the car!
This weekend, rear end is coming off the car the same way. Or maybe Thursday night.
