FS Recaro SRD's Sold!

I agree the Evo 3 seats definitely look like SRD's but in Germany they are referred to simply as SR's. I don't know if this is because they were sold through BMW or what. Like the JDM seats sold through Honda/Mitsubishi are known as SR3, SR4, etc. Recaro had SRA, SRB, SRC and SRD being the most aggressive. They were the same seat just with different bolsters. That's the seat most are familiar with.

They for the sake of agreeing are basically the same. They were sold to many different car manufacturer, with some differences but pretty much similar. The Evo 3 Seats are SRD's. For instance I have one speed seat with adjustment knobs on both sides of the seat so they can go on either side of the car. I bought some JDM Speeds out of an intergra that only have the knob on one side making them side specific. These somehow are known as the DC2 in the JDM world but has SR on the plate. (didn't know that until I was looking for them)

Exactly! But from what I was reading last bight the back bolsters are the same and it is the difference in the last digit that designates the bolsters on the seat bottom. The speeds are a new design and they different all together.

There are basically timelines that we can go by as a generality. The ones he is selling SRD that uses that wider bolster shape... those were replaced with model that changed bolster shape that was narrower this is what I think of when someone says Recaro SR which eventually became sold as the speed. So SR = Speed

For some reason they all have the triangle on the side saying they SR. NO MATTER WHAT THE ACTUAL MODEL. I know that does not make any sense but I have a speed seat. A really nice one (ahem for sale right now) that say SR on them but are basically speeds.

This is what my speed seat says SR (its hard to make out but it clearly does not say speed.

The guy that owns JJ Customs says there were different side plates that said various things. I don't have the time to re read everything so I am going by memory so forgive me if I get somethings wrong.

what's really funny is that it's the back which is classified as "SR" and the bottoms dictate the suffix ie. SRA, SRB, SRC, SRD.

please tell me this is what you guys are arguing about, seeing as it appears to state it right in the RECARO catalog page listed here.

As to which "is" the correct one, not sure personally but this seems to make sense to me...

its so small can read it recaro and some other language but doesn't says SR

After all this chit chat and me staring at these Recaro's all day yesterday, you have no idea how badly i want to pick these up and recover them to match my interior. I just really can't justify spending the money. It sucks, b/c I really want these badly now.

Yeah I still have them. I'm amazed too! These should have been gone the first day! there was one guy that wanted them and then bailed the first time we were going to meet ten sends me a pic of something at a hospital....and that he couldn't make it. If he really wanted the seats I guess I would understand if he even tried to contact me to buy them after but not a word..... I put them as sale pending for a but and im sure that turned a couple people off. Make me some offers!

I'm with ya. I just checked my old for sale thread. I posted them up on 06/25/07 @ 2:44am, and they sold on 06/25/07 @ 4:22pm. Same asking price as you, and I even called them SRD myself. Ironically enough, even then I was confused about the difference between SRD seats and Sport EVO seats. Times must be different man.

I have no clue!?!?!?!?!?!?! They were priced right and now they are priced even less. The first guy that was going to buy them screwed it up when he wanted me to put sale pending on them. What a dick!
