    Rover 'mergency....continues.

Ok, so, right rear caliper seized and smoked the rotor and pads. I've got all the bullshit apart but the fucking cover inside the rotor won't come out.

This is the cover that covers the bolts that hold the rotor to the hub. I've got all the nuts off. It's just fucking stuck.

I'm reluctant to try heating it, as the wheel bearing is in there.

    Any advice Rover peeps?

No, no r3v assholery allowed in here. I called it. BAM!

Been all over that shit with chisels and hammers. Brakes love chisels and hammers.

I wailed on it and broke the rotor into several pieces. :hitler:

I'm so pissed 'cause I'd have been done 4 hours ago....

Soaked it in WD, as I can't find my PB, tee hee. :giggle:

I'm gonna knock off for the night. Eat, drink, and go to work tomorrow.

I'll try and get some pics up for reference.

You'll get to see what I did with a 2lb sledge....

Have you pulled the half shaft out yet? That needs to come out,

You need to undo 2 nuts holding the wheel bearings in and then take the whole hub and rotor off to split the rotor from the hub. And don't be a cheapfuck and replace your wheel bearings while you are in there, it will cost 30 bucks.

                        How'd you know?

Yeah, found that out. Gonna order them today from work.

I've got the whole hub with the rotor in a vice. I think it's the ABS sensor ring that's giving me a fit.

Terrible picture, but it seems it's #16. I've got all the nuts off of it, it just will not come out. Under it are the bolts that mount the disc to the hub.
