Base coat and clear coats have been put down!
Here's a sneak peek after a coat of the base coat.

      looks nice! Great project.

However, you should have gotten a lighter hood IMO. The VIS hood is a cosmetic mod for the most part and doesnt save much weight. A pin-on fiberglass hood would have been much lighter.

What color is that? Henna, Hell, Electric? Looks super sexy...

        It's Japanrot or Electric Red.
We may change the hood at some point later. There are a few other things we'll need to upgrade as well. For now we want to just get this ready for some events coming up.

Nice, something differant. E46 wheels? Those look good on the car, any plans to keep them?

I love the electric red e90 near me, also the only e90 owner who has ever commented on my car. Great choice. It's gonna look hot.

The wheels on the car during paint were cracked/bent, and badly damaged so we didn't care about getting them painted. We have newly refinished Style 44's ready to go on with some Toyo RA-1's.

We've put the fender flares on hold for the time being. They're not so easy to mount on, and we wanted to get the car rolling again first. We can easily paint them and attach them later.
There's a ton of work needed to get the flares mounted.

Thats bad ass, maybe this summer I'll have the time and money to undertake something similar with the 335i.

I can't help but think that everything I am doing now is more of a test fit than anything because I so badly want to strip the car, paint it, and replace all the old shit everywhere.

                        More pictures!!

I havn't read the entire thread to stay up to date...but what class are you shooting for with this? CCA D-Mod?

I love a 318is with an S14, and the paint looks great! Best of luck with the rest of the work.
