Wasn't there some one on BFc that had one? On the local section? If not my area has a tool loaner section.

Or try BMW CCA there is a section in most chapters for folks that are willing to loan.

Next time I get paid, I'm going to just go ahead an buy one. I'm sick of the whine, and the unobtainiumness of the tool. And I don't feel like doing the hack mechanic thing. I have 3 older style BMW's so I feel that the purchase is justified.

I see there is a master it, and then just a BMW spec kit from them. Anyone have any prices? I always love adding to an expensive array of nifty tools.

Pelican shows the B90 as temporarily out of stock. Oh well. Anyway I'm gonna borrow it from a local guy. It would be nice to have one though.

Fred, please ask your local guy if he would be willing to rent it. I'll pay him what he bought it for to ship it to me and then he can refund a percentage once he gets it back. I need to do the rears on the bronzit car. Thanks.

I have the BMW specific B90

I have the BMW specific B90

I loaned it to one of my customers, but it will be back next week (probably 1/16-1/17). I bought it specifically to loan/rent it to my customers.

Here are the three options that I offer:

                        1. Rental: You pay $300 up front, I send you the tool. Once the tool is returned in satisfactory condition I refund $235. This is $50 for the rental of the tool and $15 to ship it. You pay return shipping.

                        2. Free loaner with purchase of bearings: I sell the Ruville/SKF bearings/circlips/axle nut lockplates for $75/side. If you buy both sides ($150), I will refund the full $250 deposit) for the tool once it is returned. Again, you are responsible for return shipping.

$150 for (2) rear bearing kits
                        $250 deposit
                        $15 shipping

                        Total upfront: $415
                        Refund: $-250
Total cost for bearings and tool rental: $165 + return shipping.

                        3. If you are a current customer of mine, or have other new used parts needs, I would be willing to do free loaners with just a deposit.

Please PM me if you are interested in any of these scenarios. I would prefer PayPal for these transactions.

The tool will be available on a first-come-first serve basis. The deposit is good for 14 days from the day your RECEIVE it, so if you want to get together and do 2-3 cars, feel free. Once 14 days has passed, I will need a tracking number to prove that it is on its way back to me. If no tracking number is provided after 14 days, you will have bought yourself a nice tool:).

                          Reggie,

Thanks for posting up. This is exactly what I was thinking. If I don't sell the bronzit car this weekend I will be taking you up on this deal, including the bearings. :D
