Differences in power loss using a 2.93 vs a 3.73

Just wondering what kind of power loss im having running the 2.93 after I just completed my 2.7i swap. Car pulls great but the gearing sucks around town or to even get into the power band ( 4k and up ) I love the fact 2nd gear is reaching 75mph but i know its eating what i could have with a 3.73 rear end.

Thoughts? Im in the looks for a 3.73 atm.

The car pulls just as strong as my vert did with the miller maf kit, but i know theirs room for improvement.

on the freeway your car will be fine but it's gunna be kind of a slug. the 3.25/3.73 will give the car a lot more "zip"
    Much wow

no power loss at all. it just shifts the speed where you make the power

your saying, on a dyno my car would make the same whp with a 2.93 vs a 3.73?

yes (although it may change *slightly* depending on the dyno used it will be within the margin of error and not noticeable).

If you swap transmissions, do you expect your engine to make a different amount of horsepower? No, of course not.

This is the same idea. Gearing just changes the rpm to speed relationship.

Torque at the wheels is much lower with a 2.93. Roughly speaking, you have 79% of the torque at the wheels with the 2.93 as you would have with a 3.73. And, of course, it's hard to access the power band with gearing that tall.
