    [Price Reduction!] '89 zinno 2dr 5spd 325iX

Up for sale is my friend's 1989 325ix.

The car is a clean unmolested stocker with 193,xxx on the (working!) odometer. The PO made sure whatever this car needed was done, from a full dash replacement to a rebuilt cluster and everything in between. I even think the AC worked until recently.

Since it's an iX, first things first:

    And working odometer:

Now that those are out of the way, the car is fairly base for an iX. There is only a 6 button OBC, no maplight mirror, comfort seats, no premium sound and manual sunroof. It does have the armrest back seat with the ski bag though.

All original body panels with original paint, sans rear bumper which was repainted at some point.

This car has practically no rust for an 89 iX. It was supposedly garage kept and rarely driven in inclement weather. (go figure.) Also note the new muffler/midpipe.

Particular care has been paid to the iX specific bits, the rack works perfectly, and the CV boots were all just replaced as they had just begun to tear.

The engine runs strong, and is one of the quieter M20s I have come across. It does not leak a drop on the ground, though it looks like the bitch tube O-ring might be weeping.

The interior is in VERY good condition, the dash has one crack where the VIN was reattached (upside down..) after replacement. The glovebox works perfectly, and all the DME covers are in place.

    Now for the flaws.
The front valence is pretty blasted from highway travel, it could use paint.

The iX flares could use some too.

The drivers door sill has some wear.

Sunroof handle popped off. (Typical E30)

Mirror trim triangle has a broken clip.

    Someone installed this stupid antenna.

The exhaust hanger came apart, and my friend rigged it to get home.

Brake lining sensor wires are cut and the sensors jumped out.

The parking brake cables are shot, the brake is VERY weak as a result.

Someone backed into it in a parking lot, cracking the rear bumper trim and knocking the bumper alignment off.

My friend hit something, bent a wheel and jacked the alignment.

The ABS light is also on, the coolant level float sticks, and the tires are due for replacement soon. (incl the spare, I think it came with the car in '89)

The timing belt should really be done soon. I don't think its that old, but I asked my friend and he couldn't say exactly when, so its cheap insurance.

I took a bunch of pics because this is a really nice E30 in person, its in great shape, fairly rare, and only needs a few things to be absolutely perfect. I hope I can show that well enough through the pictures.

As far as a pre-purchase inspection, I would recommend Zygmunt Motors, a BFc forum sponsor for the track section. He really knows E30s inside and out, and is usually pretty reasonable. Kyle has agreed to deliver and pick-up the car from the shop once you work out payment with Zygmunt. Alternately, he has agreed to do the same thing with VAC Motorsports, but their PPI might cost a bit more.

    The asking price is $5000/obo

Any questions about the car, PM myself or call Kyle at 2157914325. He should be joining r3v shortly to answer PMs as well.

Thanks man! I owe it to the old lady before me lol they told me it was garage kept (like everybody says) but after seeing a few other ix's I wouldn't argue that.

nice looking car, but the main thing that is wrong is the Hunger games book in the glovebox..
