The softline from the pump to the filter is sort of a pain in the ass. If you follow it back from the filter, you will see that it goes up between the chassis and tank. IIRC, the hose is on a hardline which is welded to the tank, so you have to reach up in there to loosen the hose clamp and break the hose free from the hardline. You MIGHT be able to access that joint from inside the car if you pull out the rear seat bottom and take the driver's side access cover off, but I think you have to do it from outside.
