    WTB 318i-318is Rolling Chassis

This WTB comes with a story and pictures. I want to buy a 91 318,318is rolling with a good body. everythign else can be stripped. Within GA,SC,NC,TN is preferred. Im just going to swap everything over. But i want decent paint with little rust. Ive got enough projects right now but This engine and interior are decent and id hate to part it because they frankly arent worth much

    Here we go

I feel like its a horse i have to put down. As all of you know i just bought new rims. However the brand new tires were wearing awfully bad. So i went to the alignment shop today only to find out the right strut tower is about to rip out of the car. Literally.
The alignment guy said they could probably reweld it within close enough specs. But it would never be the same. Its been hit in the front right When the PO had it.
As far as im concerned right now im just going to swap everything.
Unless someone is interested in the car. Im sure if you rewelded it and put the nessasary camber adjustment parts on it you would be fine
Heres some pics so i can share my pain with you
I had to remove the AC lines as well as one of the ignition plugs to actually find the damage

heres mine for sale....im across the country, BUT im selling for $500 and shipping would be around ~500 with a cheaper carrier(no need to go high end since its just a rolling shell)...

Thanks, It looks really clean. Could you post some pics of what the shell will consist of? As well as some panel shots.
Im normally not picky on a rolling shell but its going to turn into my DD.

That sucks about the strut tower damage, I have seen shit like that before. Eurodepot fixed an m3 that had damage similar from a shitty body shop not putting the car back together right.

Dude, we can fix it- my dad's a TV Repairman, he's got an AWESOME set of tools!!

Seriously, that does look like a shitty repair, unfortunately there are alot of those out there. BUT, I think it would be cheaper and easier to get that fixed than it would be to swap all your running gear over to a new shell, just my 0.02.

unfortunatly its a 318. So it wouldnt be worth fixing like an M3 would
                Heres some more pics

                  Re:

Any particular reason it has to be a 91 318 shell? You can transplant your M42 into any 86 or newer car that has the round C101 injun plug.

I just happen to know someone w/ a spare shell.:D

                    QFT-IMO-FWIW ;)

An engine swap will introcude the "might as well stuff, the cost of getting stuff done while the motor is out can sky rocket oh-so-very easily.

this is true, i am running into this now, BUT, mostly i am taking everything apart and cleaning it all out(intake manifold)....its a plus/minus.
