    Early model E28 520i flywheel

I've been making the rounds at a few euro E30 forums and stumbled upon this.

Apparently fits without any shaving or grinding. Running its PN brings up this:

It was last in production of 9/84 and weighs 13.6 lbs. You can use a normal M20 clutch, etc.

So I think imma get me one from across the pond.

    Thoughts?

I figure it's worth a shot. With it used in all of those cars, there's bound to be a few for sale for cheap.

Should be the same as the euro spec 323i flywheel.

This is what a new one looks like. I ordered it a few weeks back.

They seem to have trouble sourcing one. Most of those car that had them have gone to the great rusty cloud in the sky and scrapped or so was my understanding.

I got mine for $280 before taxes from my dealership since I'm a regular customer. :)

Yeah that is more commonly referred to as the "323i flywheel".
Basically the lightest factory m20 flywheel available.
I've used one since 98-99 or somewhere in there. Have pics of it versus a stock US m20i flywheel on a scale somewhere.

Wish I had noticed you looking for one sooner as I have one taking up shelf space right now.

I pulled one of these from an early 528e for $20 in the Pick-n-Pull. The only difference is that it has the reference sender tab welded on. It's in my M20B25 E30 now. I weighed it @ 12.3 lbs iirc.. It's been a while. They are virtually identical to the E30 323i and 320i flywheel other than the reference tab (I had all 3 together at one point in time).
