the time has come... tire size?

So, I need tires for these big round things I just bought. :D


They are style 5's, 17x8 and 17x9 both et20 and filled and redrilled to 4x100. I want a small amount of stretch all the way around, and I want the amount of stretch to be proportional between the front and back. I've been browsing through tire stretch galleries for the longest and have yet to make a decision. I want a decent amount of tire, but they need to fit without rubbing and without having to pull the fenders. I will most likely roll them for extra room. I think every one of those examples is too much stretch. Roll your fenders and fit the biggest tire you can. If it was my car I'd run 235/40 rear 215/40 front

Yea, I definately don't want too much stretch... just a little. Don't want to compromise the integrity of the tire. Still undecided. I got a friend back home that works at a tuner shop. I'll probably have to go spend an afternoon up there when I get some time to see what works. Will probably start with those tire specs in a falken azenis.

Think a 225/45 in the back without rub? I like the amount of stretch on this one.

you could wrap those in used condoms and they would look great.

Seriously, dont stretch too much, it will loose the classic style/beauty of these. 225 r 215 f would do well.

at et20 for both of those wheels you won't need much of a roll, you'll have plenty of clearance if you plan on running less than a 235 width.

i think 205/45 and 215 or 225/45 could work nicely. it depends on how low you plan on being and how you drive the car though.

225/45/16 on all fours would be the s**t. It is a rare tire size. Conti, Perelli, or Nexen to name a few. I have Schmidt Modernline Revolutions with the same et and 16x9. Meaty look, just the right amount of sidewall. No stretch. No rub lock to lock. Just my $.02.
