Sorry I am leary of that being an original car. Looks like it has been piece milled back together again. But it's got a lot of cool stuff. Missing stuff and quite a bit of none period parts on it also for 9k.

Now I truely doubt it's originality. Due to look where the rear exhaust picture is and you can see the mounting hole for a US style bumper shock???? Alpina was never offically imported to US so No US cars were Alpina's. Look at the pics close it not an accurate clone either.

i was kinda thinkin the same thing.... plus, think about it... if you had an alpina b6 in the states... woudln't you take a little better care of it than that one?

gotta admit, they sure as fuck went out of their way to make it look authentic

here's the incriminating evidence w/ those bumper holes...

that recessed area around that bumper shock hole...is also part of the US-spec rear valence?

cuz if not, the car could've been federalized w/ US bumpers & then re-euro bumpered? lol, it's a long shot, but still a possibility.

I know the car raises flags here and there but who would seriously go through all that trouble to "make it look like" an Alpina :?: The bumper issue is questionable along side the hack of wires in the engine bay and all but it might be a nice project car but not at that price tag (to me that is....)

AS I stated before there was never a US chassis that was an offical Alpina Car. Fact.

It appears that someone cloned a Alpina car from a US spec car. The federalized cars had no shock asorbers installed in the body as there was alot of modiifing involved to do that. So It is not a true Alpina car. Just a sum of the parts else why would someone say they would destroy the chassis???

Also the 323 engine which the B6 was based on was the small 6 not the Senior 6 engine. It is a good clone but don't say it's just free as I saw some in the pics. Plus I saw drill holes and onther tool marks that don't belong there.

I'd be interested to see what the Vin number tag under the dash and in between the blower grills says. As it appears it Has an Alpina VIn tag on the door jamb and the number match the chassis number he said it was. My guese is he found a complete B6 and transered all the parts onto a U.S. spec chassis.

                        Hey Guys,
I just registered here because I saw what you are saying about this B6 2.8 and it isnt true. I own a real B6 2.8 and yes it is here in the U.S. And I have talked to the owner of this car although it isnt in the best shape needs paint interior work it is as far as I have seen a real B6 2.8. Those mounting holes for the bumpers are correct, and yes B6 2.8's had M30 big sixes not M20's. Granted the price is high for the condition but it is rare. If you really want to learn more about Alpina's check out www.users.wineasy.se.

Ok then what is up with the US body style bumper mounts? And the drill holes and saw marks on the rear muffler pic 26? I own three euro E30's as I live in Germany so I see EU spec cars quite often. That gapping hole doesn't exist period.

yeah, i could've sworn seeing some euro e30's that were wearing federalized US-spec bumpers.
and i think another option during the federalizing process was to beef up the euro bumpers to withstand a 5mph crash without messing up the car that much. for example w/ a lot of federalized euro e21's: behind the euro bumpers they installed these pretty heavy iron frames (which were welded to square tubing so that it could be bolted into the area where the US-spec bumper shocks are usually located)
