    Front sway reinforcement

So I'm having the GC tabs welded on my strut tubes so I can run m3 links with my cabrio 21mm front bar. Since everything else on the car is going poly, I figure I'll get front poly sway bushings too (for where the sway mounts to the underframe). So far the only place I can find that sells them is bmpdesign. see here:

    Item# 133892

    Couple questions:

** I assume I use the stock bushing holder gizmo, realoem p/n 31351127202 to mount said poly bushing?

** What and how do I reinforce? seems kinda flimsy. Bimmerworld sells some sort of reinforcement, but there is no picture of what it looks like and where it goes. Anyone got a picture? BW item:

Josh, did I ever get around to showing you that modded subframe, with the plates welded in for the Energy bushings?

negative but I should have pics this weekend of the a-frame and sway reinforcement welding done on the rear trailing arms, the weld to fix the whoopsidaisy with the sawzall on the rear subframe, and the m3 link tabs on the front strut tubes. Stay tuned. Send pics of your front subframe. I may wait till I have the engine out to do the front though.

No pics soon, bubba...it is under "Parts Mountain"

Basically, imagine an oval piece of metal, 2" X 4" (roughly) welded in place from the rear subframe bolt to where the stock sway mount bolt goes....is is pretty schweet, no?

The a-frame work is done, I should have pics up this weekend as I'm out of town on business right now. Tyrone, my bud that did the welding is a member here, he took pics too and should be able to post em.

The tabs that hold the subframe bushings to the frame are very weak, they will break/bend and let the bushing pop out, the reinforcement is a beefier bracket, front subframe plate and bolts on both ends of the bushing clamp.

Looks good, now just chop the ends off and replace with heim joints so you have full adjust ability! :)

^^ I have no idea what you're talking about. Are you talking about the front swaybar bushings and their attachment points to the front subframe? Have a picture?
