    Automatic on a m50 in a e30

    Ok has anyone put a m20 automatic tranny on a m50 in a e30??

I know it sounds dumb, but I have issues with my knees thats causing me problems to press the clutch in all the time.

So I need something I can drive daily with no issues.

Im sure since you can use the m20 5 speed there shouldnt be a issue with using the m20 auto setup.

    any info will be amazing.
    Thanks

You mean the same automagic slushbox that has a hard enough time not self destructing behind an m20? The same one that grenades if you rev it in neutral?

you must not know how to read...

I have chronic tendenitous in both of my knees.
its getting to the point where my knees are getting worse and its causing me to much pain to press the clutch in.

I already have a e30 with a m50 swap and its just easier for me to swap a auto in then it would be to swap out the whole motor.

                Buy an e34 M50 with a slushbox?

That, or the slushbox from an m50, you can slap on the harness from an auto car and everything should line up, I'm sure there's a driveshaft that would work.

so the harness for the auto stanny is seperate?
I never cut any of the wires out of my harness when I did the swap so I should be good there.

I will look around. Thanks for the help.

Yep, it should work w/ the harness, just need the seperate ecu for the auto and all of that stuff...

                      ok thank you.
I may have a lead on a tranny.
if not then I will just snatch the m20 on from my friend untill something happens to it.
                      Thanks
