The official "What book are you reading?" thread....

I'm not sure this will be successful....but we'll see how it goes.

I'm juggling 3 books right now.

    Moby Dick
    Black Like Me
    How the Other Side Lives

    For conversation's sake:

Favorite book: Women by Charles Bukowski
Least favorite book: Ape and Essence by Aldous Huxley

I just finished Henry James' The Turn of the Screw, I think I may pick up Malcolm Gladwell's The Tipping Point next.
"Turn off the sun, light up the fire, strike up the band, and set all these static figures into whirling, spinning, flashing action swords clashing points just missing eyes and ears, drums throbbing, figures leaping through the flames to fill the air with a stench of burning hair."

Let's try to keep this to people who have actually completed a real book. No magazines, newspapers, forums or internet articles please.

That looks very interesting. I will have to pick that one up.

Every day I wake up we drink a lot of coffee and watch the CNN
Every day I wake up to a bowl of clover honey and let the locusts fly in.
                    Lobsterbacks attack the town again
Wrap all my things in aluminum
Beams of darkness streak across the sky
Pink rays from the ancient satellite
Every time I look out my window same three dogs looking back at me.
Every time I open my windows cranes fly in to terrorize me.

God that's a rough read. Best of luck to you. His transcripted speech to the public was hard enough.

Interesting thread. We'll see how long it takes to turn into a typical R3V pissing match.

The Tipping Point is an excellent book, if a bit dry at times.

I haven't been reading nearly as much since I stopped flying every week and my daughter was born. I try to alternate fiction with non, but it depends on what is released.

                          Currently reading:

Previously read (in hardcover, it was a gift):

                          1987 E30 cabrio | Bumper swap | H&R Sport | Koni Yellow | Eibach Sways | BavAuto strut bar | Cardinal seats
                          MTech2 wheel | Husco Armrest | Smoked Hella Smileys | 5k HID | Stromung | RS003
                          | Shadowline | Amber Fogs | Too much else to list
