A producer from Uruguay has been offered a $30 million contract to transform a short YouTube clip into a full-length movie.

The movie will be sponsored by Sam Raimi, who directed both the Spiderman and Evil Dead films.

Great short. Thanks for sharing. I hope the director will make it. Hopefully he will not follow up on James Cameron's path: lots of CGI and no scenario.

That little flick reminds me of "El Mariachi' which was a feature film, produced with around $16k. Which was money the director cashed after being the guinea pig for many medical experiments. The original movie was an instant cult hit. A bit like the first Boondock Saints. So much that Roberto Rodriguez, the director, was offered several millions and a full crew by Hollywood, to film a remake with Antonio Banderas and Salma Hayek. Movie got called "Desperado". Which ended up being a flop. The director claimed it was impossible to make a good movie with 100s of crew, and focus group peoples around you.

The best about the remake was obviously Salma.

Brake harder. Go faster. No shit.
