    Will E30 Springs Work on Cabrio

    As title states.

    Is it necessary to use cabrio specific springs? If so why? I was about to order a set of springs for my car and saw that there was a cabrio specific set.

              from what I can tell it is not a dimensional issue but weight factor. Am I correct?

                  Yes. Non-Cabrio suspension will fit, but that doesn't mean it will work well...

                      H&R Sport springs - cabrio specific
                      Bilstein Sports - coupe on front, cabrio specific on back
                      IE front & rear swaybars w/ all reinforcement kits
                      IE front strut brace
