I've had my car now for over 5 years, and I never really did much with the looks besides keeping it really clean. Here's what it looked like before:

A few weeks ago my front lip spoiler fell off as I was driving down the road! So I am still looking for another one to replace it. I need to give a big shout out to the Funkmasta for finding me these Zinno bumpers!! Thanks Joe!
I got the rear bumper on without too much trouble. First time in, I got the brackets mixed up and put them on backwards which caused some poor fitment issues. But I got it figured out and now it looks great!
Except that last week some dumb fuck with a metal pipe went up and down our street smashing stuff, including my new bumper!!!!!

It's not too bad, and the bumper re-attached without any issues. Thankfully I only have a $100 deductible for comprehensive so I will get it fixed in the next few days
Then it was on the the front bumper. The PO had 'inadvertently tucked' the bumper already, so I figured the shocks would be compressed when i pulled it off. i had a lot of trouble getting it off because of this little issue:

So I hooked up the tow hook, stuck a tow strap on my dad's Outback and yanked until I could get the bolts pulled out. Guess what I found!!!!

Ouch! so I went over to Joe's and we hooked up one end of a 10,000lb tow rope to the shocks, the other end to a 328i. After breaking the tow rope twice, we realized that these little fucker weren't going to budge. On to the next plan: spacing out the bracket on the back of the bumper:

Spacing them out though caused the bracket to come out of alignment with the shocks, so I went down to the machine shop at OSU and using a 3/8" end mill I elongated the bolt holes:

Finished product:

I also had to cut up the top and bottom of the bumper so I could get the bolts in:

The plugs for the front indicators are different from DB lights to plastic lights, so I had to cut, strip and solder the wires to the new lights:

At the same time I also installed some smoked lenses from Abrahams Motorsport. After much wrestling, spacing, removing/adding of washers, busted knuckles and cracked fingernails I finally got the bumper core to mount:

So now it's time for the finished product! The car looks orange in these pics for some dumb reason, it must be something to do with photobucket because they are the perfect shade of red when i open them with CS3 on my computer, and I was shooting RAW with a custom WB.

Also, the new bumpers are (of course) shorter so my exhaust tips stick out a lot. Too much? give me your opinions, I may shorten them up:

I've also done a 22% window tint in the last few weeks. I love the look, but I have noticed that it is impossible to see my backup lights at night. A trip to NAPA solved that, these suckers are bright!!

I also got a new, working power antenna (thanks again Joe)

And a quick shot of the interior, just because I don't think I've ever put one up before

Thanks for looking R3v!!
