All CorvallisBMWs fault...my guibo, it hurts.

OK, so I tried to keep up with the little red fucker from Corvallis, going up MarAys Peak. This is what happened, so it is all his fault.

My CSB is roasted too. It moves a good 2"

So what that means...fucker...is you NEED to get those pics up NOW!

    Luke

Good thing those things are easy to replace. Just make sure the U joints are still alright...

Lol, nice one Luke! All I had was a little oil starvation. I bet I coulda kept up with him! You and Tom both got messed up by that hill. I say we hit that again next summer when its dry, and you have a 24v.

My assumption is that the csb snapped which in turn caused the added guibo stress leading to double failure. Ah well, its all in the spirit of driving, right?! :)

I love the drive up and down Marys Peak.

I raced a friend in a S2000 from the top to the bottom one time in the 95 M3. Almost had the ass come out on my twice, and he was having a awful hard time keeping up. When we got to the bottom I parked, got out, and listened to him bookin it to get through... as he came into view I couldn't help but laugh as he pulled into the parking lot at the bottom.. with smoke billowing off his brakes.

Yeah, I bet you could have done a much better job than I did...plus the million puonds of stereo and a passenger did not help...shitty swaybars and soft springs...a million excuses.

Chicken or the egg, which came first? I have been feeling some vibration since Bend, so it has been coming for a while. New Guibo from BMW is $47.00 and in stock. I hope they are decent.

It felt OK, I did new guibo, CSB and nice used driveshaft about 3 years ago. I sure hope it is OK, I really do not want to swap it out now, when I am thinking I will do a G240 when I do my swap...I understand I need a different driveshaft then anyway.

Jordan, I really wish I had gone up that hill one time with you...would have been wild!

I had a lake of coolant in my footwell, leaking cool from the heater core sucks.... I had to fill up coolant twice on the way home. My interior is now completly gutted, carpet and heater core are coming out this week.

Tom why didn't you bypass the heater core from the engine bay? Thats pretty easy to do.

Thats the plan for this week, but with my 24v motor I gotta pull the manifold off to get to the two lines. Wasn't really a option mid drive....

ha ha sorry to hear it Luke, but hey if you can't keep up with the big dogs... :)

I will get pics posted soon, but I still don't have internet at my house. I will bring my laptop to class tomorrow and just use the wireless to post them up. Not like I need to pay attention in 'IE 436 Lean Manufacturing Systems Engineering' anyways.....
