It sounds like sand because there are dirt inside of them like every fog..if you wish to take it out just replace the bulb and all the dirt will come out. Why would you say they're useless?

My shipping is not bad, you asked me to ship them and I told you I would get them out "As Soon As Possible," not "The following day," but "As Soon As Possible," as in, when it is convenient for me to ship them, and between finals week and christmas shipment, it is not my fault you received them today.
I've been using plastic bags to ship items since 2005, I have a 100% transaction rating on eBay since 2005 and no one has ever complained.
Now, the fogs are exactly as described. One is cracked, one is not. There is dirt inside that is easily removable.
Explain to me why you think the "insides" are completely ruined and I will refund you your money.

shipping took 2 weeks, holidays understandable but thats besides the point.

i sell shoes (collector) and other items on ebay and have NEVER GOTTEN paper bags wadded up honestly this is a new 1 for me.

the cracked LENS is okay.(as described)

BUT the INSIDE OF THE GLASS "OVALS" on the inside is broken and not in place. theres glass shards & pieces no sand... the housings are cracked & the mounting plastic is broken as well. none of this btw was described.

i was only aware the cracked lens & everything else was working fine which i had no problem i was going to resin the glass & black them out (reason why i purchased these)

since the fogs werent packed correctly with foam or peanuts the impact on shipping broke them.

Well I don't sell shoes, I can understand selling shoes with plastic bags would be kinda awkward, but I don't go out of my way to purchase bubble wrap and buy a new box to ship an item

Member since 2004 and I've always shipped with plastic bags unless I've had bubble wrap laying around which was probably twice.

Are the insides broken on BOTH fog lights, or just the cracked one?

And if you're going to use them to blank them out, why does it matter? They will bolt onto a valance just fine, they came out of a car where it was bolted onto the valance perfectly.

Let me know what you would like to do then....

you really expect me to ship these back are you kidding me? im not paying 4 that i already paid you for a broken item why would i fork out more money? They are BOTH DESTROYED ON THE INSIDES THE GLASS AND OVAL IS OUT OF PLACE ON BOTH. only 1 of the PLASTIC flat mounting pieces is cracked. but thats the least of it. so 1 is good to mount and one will fall off because the mount is broken. but BOTH ARE shattered on the insides there useless.

and im blacking them out but i can still use them to light up the floor. im not using them as blackout's id just buy the plastic fillers if that were the case.

thats all it says. and you have the pictures to further look at them. It doesn't say anything about working condition. Hook them up to a car and see what happens, all I know is that they came out of a car with working fogs (though NOT described in the advertisement), they've been sitting in my basement for a while and there is a large picture to show their condition. the shipping method had nothing to do with how they arrived at your doorstep.

Sorry about being stubborn but I'm just having a hard time trying to cough up $40 on the holidays when, if you felt there were any red flags, you should have brought them up to me before they arrived at your door step. Hope you understand :???:

If you buy something off a retail store and it isn't exactly what you expected you can't tell them to refund your money wothout you sending the product back. Or if it comes broken, you still have to send the broken product back to get a working one.

I have read both threads. OP you are handling this all wrong. Your logic does not make sense and your thinking is irrational.

Of course you have to send the item back in order for a refund. This is the real world, you do not get to purchase an item and say its not what you wanted/expected, ask for money, and keep said item in question.

Reading the PMs I have concluded that you escalated the situation to a point it did not need to be. Seller was not "fucking with you" he asked questions that were logically relevant.

Seller also stated "ok you can get a refund" then proceeded to state that you must ship the item back with costs nearly half the price of item in the first place. Internet sales always work this way, you request refund -> you send item back->you pay for shipping ->you receive money back.

You should've kept your calm. A broken item is a broken item, it was advertised with a flaw then expect the worst. My 2 cents. I would do business with Seller still, I would not do business with OP.

If i buy an item from someone, it comes well packaged, all working great...but dam i made a mistake..ordered the wrong thing, if he gives me a refund, i expect to ship him the item back and incur shipping costs. But if i buy an item from someone, that is poorly packaged thus causing damage, or if something is sold as working when it isnt, if the seller offers me a refund in that case i expect the SELLER to cover those costs being the fact the issue with the item was not my (the buyers) fault. Now on 40$ fogs it might not be worth it for the seller to ask for them back because he will have to loose out on shipping costs, thus it might be easier to say heres your 40$ back sorry for the mishap.

If i sold someone something working, and when it gets there its not...and im sure there the ones who didnt break it, id issue them a refund and cover shipping costs back, if the part simply isnt worth having to ship it back, id give them the cash and apologize.
