I have a rebuilt m20b25 that I might get rid of. I rebuilt the engine, drove 2000 miles (one month ish) and then a guy pulled out in front of me and now the car is junk. The oil pan busted, along with the oil pump because I hit a pretty big curb. I have already tried rotating the engine by hand and it rotates fine, just as any engine does. I would NOT hessitate putting it in my car and having it be very reliable. I changed the oil at 300 miles and 1000 miles. I used Castrol GTX 10w30. Filter changed at those times as well. It will be gauranteed not DOA. I can do a compression check before shipping if anyone is seriously interested.
Here is a list of the items replaced:
-main bearings
-rod bearings
-piston rings
-all gaskets (rear main, front crank, cam, valve cover, oil filter housing, etc.)
-water pump
-distributor cap/rotor
-head gasket
-intake gaskets
-exhaust manifold gaskets
-Head machined, pressure checked, valve job, new valve seats, new valve guides, shims under valve springs to ensure "like new" pressure on valves
I did not replace the rocker arms and none of them are cracked so they should last a long time unless you want to beat it up. The engine is still mounted in the wrecked car so I can get pics if someone is SERIOUSLY interested in it. It would come with the alternator, exhaust manifolds, valve cover, intake manifold (no TB). Also the harness if anyone wants. Lets see who has some interest. I spent about $1500 on everything and I got parts at a highly discounted price. Someone else who is an experienced engine builder built the engine. I have receipts of his work. I am thinking of around $1200 + shipping. I would probably build a crate to ship it in. Who is interested?
