Installing tweeters in a non-premium sound system car

The car is a 318is; I've accumulated four midrange speakers (with coils and condenser) and four tweeters from an E30 with the premium sound system, plus the proper rear package shelf with speaker housings.

I don't want to install a separate amp, just the speakers. The doors are pre-wired for tweeters, so I just need to know how to connect the wires at the midrange speakers (kick panels and rear package shelf) and how to connect the tweeters to the terminals on the midrange speakers. The speaker wires were all disconnected when I got 'em, so don't know what goes where.

The tweeter wires are behind the kick panel taped up around the wiring harness. If you follow the harness from the radio, you will see another wire that is not connected to anything. Untape the loose wire and connect it to the wire lead from the radio. Its all located befind the kick. Its hard to describe but it will make sense when you get there.

The tweeter wires are gray/yellow (-) and grey/green (+)

The grey/green is generally hanging out behind the speaker. It goes to the terminal (the only one it fits) that is connected to the capacitor on the speaker.

The grey/yellow is wrapped into the harness, ends is a single wire plug. That is the tweeter ground, and it needs to go to the speaker negative, but it will not fit.

Cut off the ground wire terminal, cut off the tweeter wire to match and put a fresh terminal both of them together.
