ugly? lol...
Personally I would prefer this for its OEM'ness. This is the one that I had on the S50 car. Did you pull it off Ben?
I cant tell you how much this style was but my current was right around $200 list from the dealer. My current is a little different, let me see if I have a pic.Originally posted by Simon SWhen a dream is a dream for too long - it becomes a fantasy..

It's pretty damn strong. I bottomed out my old car (Ben's current car:mrgreen:) on a man hole cover that had heaved up at the bottom of a hill and it didnt flinch. We were out in the middle of nowhere too, it saved my ass...Originally posted by Simon SWhen a dream is a dream for too long - it becomes a fantasy..

Nope, didn't pull it off. I bought this one for the 325iX back when it was mine. We never mounted it even after Kellie bought the iX from me. She sold the iX a few weeks ago to a guy in North Dakota, so the skidplate is just sitting around collecting dust.
Its never been installed.

Good deal. I know the iX oil pan is somewhat hard to break due to the subframe design around the pan but this gives that extra sense of security. I have never busted an oil pan but I don't plan to either.'88 M3.2 S54 Lachssilber/Black
